Instructions for Calculus Removal

1. Place the cutting edge’s tip third or half against the tooth. (The cutting edge is usually the larger outer curve.)
2. Ensure that the tooth surface and the lower shank are parallel.
3. Use vertical, diagonal, or horizontal strokes while applying moderate lateral pressure. (To plan the roots, use light lateral pressure.)
